A new month and some new products!

Hello dear Readers,

We are already into September...that makes Christmas seem soooo close.  For us in the southern hemisphere, September means "Spring".  Here in the topics we have a little of Spring days right now but I'm sure that they won't last long and we will soon be experiencing "Sprummer" - the forerunner of Summer.  Let's hope I can survive without the air-conditioner for just a wee bit longer!

I've been busy creating some new products.  At the end of August I released a couple of new CU flower packs at The Studio:

It's August and I've been busy creating.  I've just released my latest collection - the beautiful "The Melody Within".

Now and then, a few bars of a melody gets stuck in our heads and repeats over and over again. Sometimes a memory is linked to a particular song we like and we find ourselves humming or whistling that tune, maybe quite unconsciously. I think we have melodies that play in our inner being and if we took time to listen really carefully, we would hear them - perhaps that is how composers start with their great pieces. Emotions evoke melodies inside of us - at least that is what I believe. That 'jump for joy' bouncy melody, that 'don't miss a beat' rhythmic melody, that soothing melody that calms us, that one with the touch of melancholy when we are missing a loved one, or the grand majestic one when our heart is full and overflowing. Stop - feel the music in you. Catch the strains of beautiful and amazing melodies. Some will be fleeting and gone forever, some will linger and be remembered.

Goodbye Spring!

I guess it's a time that many in the Northern Hemispere look forward to - Summer!!  After long, dreary winter days, I'm sure Summer and the long school vacation have to be welcomed with open arms.  Of course, here in the tropics, it's rarely winter and spring and autumn are practically non-existent.  I love when I travel overseas and the seasons are so obvious.  Well, Summer on the doorstep means one thing - "Goodbye Spring!"

iNSD CELEBRATIONS!

This would have to be one of the most significant weekends in the Digital Scrapbooking world - International Scrapbooking Day - May 2.  

Just about everywhere you look you will see designers having awesome sales; stores hosting special events and lots and lots of people shopping!!

I love that so many designers create products especially for this weekend and not only that...they sell them at almost give-away prices!!  Nothing beats that.  I'm going to be so pushed to make selections that fit my bank account and that's not easy when you live on a pretty fixed budget, but I'll sure try to get the best value for the products I buy.

It's a little while since I've posted but hey...there is BIG NEWS!!  

DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING STUDIO has a brand new store and it's GORGEOUS and AMAZING! It has really taken the whole digital scrapbooking shopping experience to an entirely new level.  We've only been open for a few days but everyone has done their very best to have their products ready for this weekend.  It's not just iNSD for us - it's our GRAND RE-OPENING and we are super excited to be able to bring our customers inside to see all the wonderful new features.  One of the greatest things is being able to shop by COLOR!  There are lots of other awesome search features as well.  Definitely take the time to look around!  Our EU customers can shop now as well - that is such good news!!  

(Returning customers may need to reset their passwords before they shop.  There are a few little wrinkles in our new software, but our admin team are working very long hours to have everything working perfectly.  They just ask for a little patience in the process.)

News and Events - Big Bargains!!

There is so much happening just now...I just have to let you in on all the latest from my stores.

As I wrote in my previous post, Digital Scrapbooking Studio is going to be a whole new shopping experience, in just a couple of weeks' time.  While we change over to the new software, the store will be 'down' for a minimum of three days.  (Please refer to my previous post for an idea of the timeline for the change to our new look store.)  We are sooo excited about the possibilities that this new software is going to open up for us all - the designers and the customers.  The anticipation is HUGE!

Right now, though, the beginning of April means our Spring Coordinated Collection has been released.  We only have these four times a year, so if you've been waiting for the Spring one to be revealed, it's here!  You have over 140 packs to choose from - all created from the same palette - and just $1.00 per pack!  This is absolutely amazing value.  Of course, this is for a limited time only, so take advantage now, before the shop closes for our 'refit'. These will be back after the new store opens, but at the regular price.

SPRING COORDINATED COLLECTION - the theme is MARKET FRESH. 

I took a "Cotters Market" theme for mine because where I live we have a Cotters Market in the Mall in the centre of town each Sunday morning.  We also have Night Markets during the cooler months of the year too, that some of the same stall holders sell at.  We love our Markets and the wonderfully unique products that can be bought there.  Local crafts people and artisans have their wares displayed and it would be very rare not to be able to find the perfect gift for someone you need to buy for - or just something that you love, for your own home.  As well as all the beautifully crafted wooden and pottery items, there are numerous jewellery stalls, many with hand strung bead necklaces, bracelets and earrings.  There are hand sewn, knitted or crochet products as well to choose from.  The markets would not be complete without home baked goodies, jams, sweets and preserves as well as locally grown produce, organic fruit, vegetables and honey, flowers and plants.  Yes, we really love our Markets where you find things that are original, fresh and GOOD!  So comes my "Cotters Market" collection.  Just $1 per pack for now.  You'll find this collection here.

Last, but not least, I want to let you know that although Nuthouse-Scraps (my third store) has changed ownership, it also is in the process of  'renewal' - new name, new store, new software.  Of course all this takes many many hours of work but it is being worked on at fever pitch.  A 'soft opening' was planned for April 1 but some problems were encountered that have to be resolved.  Look for "Scrapbook Universe" - the new name for our store.  As soon as I have news for you, I will post everywhere - here, on my Facebook Fan Page, twitter, google +, and in my newsletter.  We want you to come and see our new store - it is going to be jaw-dropping AWESOME!!  I can't wait. I'm super excited!
