It's DSD time!!

DIGITAL SCRAPBOOKING DAY - November 7 - is almost here! 

How we wait with great anticipation for DSD!  This would have to be one of the very best times for shopping - such amazing bargains, special buys and goodies to be had all over digiland.  I've already been shopping in some of my favourite stores where the sales have already begun.  Some sales don't start until DSD has actually arrived - but that just gives you more time to spread your shopping time around.  In the past, I've become so overwhelmed at times, with so much on offer, that I've missed out on some of the best buys, so to have things spread out a little bit, is right up my alley.

You know that I sell in a couple of stores, the Studio and Daisies and Dimples, so much of what I have to tell today relates to both and I'll link you up with both stores.

Fabulous NEW Collection - Family Memories

You could almost be forgiven for thinking that it is Fall here in tropical North Queensland - it is so dry and brown.  We haven't had rain for months and months and we are in drought.  Our farmers are in dire straights, with many having to abandon their properties because they just can't feed their stock. It is very sad. No rain in sight and another dry summer has been forecast.  It's not all sad news though...
...I am hearing of all the beautiful Spring blossoms and spectacular gardens in other parts of Australia, and I am seeing photos of awesome Autumn in the northern hemisphere! 

It's that time again too, for another seasonal collection at #theStudio.  This time it is both Fall and Family related - a gorgeous Fall palette and a Family theme.  I chose "Family Memories" as my theme.  There are elements to take it across generations, both past and present, so it is very versatile.

A new month and some new products!

Hello dear Readers,

We are already into September...that makes Christmas seem soooo close.  For us in the southern hemisphere, September means "Spring".  Here in the topics we have a little of Spring days right now but I'm sure that they won't last long and we will soon be experiencing "Sprummer" - the forerunner of Summer.  Let's hope I can survive without the air-conditioner for just a wee bit longer!

It's August and I've been busy creating.  I've just released my latest collection - the beautiful "The Melody Within".

Now and then, a few bars of a melody gets stuck in our heads and repeats over and over again. Sometimes a memory is linked to a particular song we like and we find ourselves humming or whistling that tune, maybe quite unconsciously. I think we have melodies that play in our inner being and if we took time to listen really carefully, we would hear them - perhaps that is how composers start with their great pieces. Emotions evoke melodies inside of us - at least that is what I believe. That 'jump for joy' bouncy melody, that 'don't miss a beat' rhythmic melody, that soothing melody that calms us, that one with the touch of melancholy when we are missing a loved one, or the grand majestic one when our heart is full and overflowing. Stop - feel the music in you. Catch the strains of beautiful and amazing melodies. Some will be fleeting and gone forever, some will linger and be remembered.
