It's November - Give thanks!

We all have so much to be grateful for.  I know Thanksgiving in North America is a time for families to get together and celebrate and yes, not just to celebrate, but to give thanks to God too.  In Australia, we don't have such a day - Christmas is our big day of family get togethers, festivities, celebration and thankfulness for all the blessings we have.  When we look at the plight of refugees worldwide, the victims of war, drought, flood, earthquake, fires and hurricanes, the poor and starving, and so many others who have next to nothing, yet can still smile - I am eternally grateful for where I live and all that I have.  I am mindful of my abundance and I truly give God thanks daily.  Having much means that we have much to give. 

This isn't meant to be a sermon, (hahaha), but I just wanted to draw attention to this significant and special time of year - especially for those in North America - and even though Canada has already had their Thanksgiving.  Let's all give remember to give thanks!

My second purpose was to show the new minikits that I have in store:

Fabulous NEW Collection - Family Memories

You could almost be forgiven for thinking that it is Fall here in tropical North Queensland - it is so dry and brown.  We haven't had rain for months and months and we are in drought.  Our farmers are in dire straights, with many having to abandon their properties because they just can't feed their stock. It is very sad. No rain in sight and another dry summer has been forecast.  It's not all sad news though...
...I am hearing of all the beautiful Spring blossoms and spectacular gardens in other parts of Australia, and I am seeing photos of awesome Autumn in the northern hemisphere! 

It's that time again too, for another seasonal collection at #theStudio.  This time it is both Fall and Family related - a gorgeous Fall palette and a Family theme.  I chose "Family Memories" as my theme.  There are elements to take it across generations, both past and present, so it is very versatile.

Hurry!! End of August fast approaches

Yes, just a few days until the end of this month - August. 

So many 'happenings' this month that will come to a close as the month ends.

For example, the Commercial Use Facebook Hop that the Studio has on right now...lots of designers have taken part in this Hop and it's a great way to sample their work as well as grabbing some great CU freebies for your stash.
